Within the “Education for a rightful society” project financed by the USAID and the FOD B&H, the most contemporary computer centres for learning and researching worth over 120 000 BAM will be established in 19 schools across B&H during October (Bihać, Gradiška, Sanski Most, Derventa, Velika Kladuša, Novi Grad, Banja Luka, Odžak, Gradačac, Zenica, Kiseljak, Kupres, Jablanica, Mostar, Goražde, Foča, Istočno Sarajevo and Sarajevo).
Under the motto “The future begins with me” more than 1 800 children will be involved in various researches within the community as well as in exchanging experiences and learning with their peers across B&H.
Computers, modern softwares for learning, cameras and other technological tools will serve this children as a base to think critically and to search for good stories and people in their communities who can teach them things about the most valuable things in life like charity, goodness and respect.
All children’s works – films, stories, interviews, newspaper articles, photos, art works will be available at the website where all those interested will be able to see what B&H looks like in the eyes of the children and how do they picture it in the future. The support to the children’s groups will be provided by 300 educated teachers involved in the project.
The project lasts three years and its main goal is to build an educational system which will reflect a vision of equality, rightful society, one which stimulates peace, reconciliation and encourages children to dream and create a vision of their own of a better future in B&H.
The centre for educational initiatives Step by step is an NGO which has been organizing and implementing various project and activities in order to improve the children’s approach to education in B&H for the last 18 years.
