BiH Is One of The Rare Countries in Europe and the World With Significant Reserves of Clean Potable Water

World Water Day is celebrated every year on 22 March.

The celebration of this day was adopted with a Resolution of the UN General Assembly in December 1992.

Europe is a continent with transboundary rivers, with some countries receiving more than 50 percent of its water from neighboring countries.

Rivers with six of the total eight bigger catchments in BiH are transboundary   (basins of Una, Drina, Sava, Neretva, Trebišnica and Cetina).

According to the Federal Institute for Public Health, BiH is one of the rare countries in Europe and in the world that has significant reserves of potable drinking water.
