BiH Medicine Agency is speeding up the Legalization of Cannabis for medical Purposes

The information that the Medicines Agency is speeding up the legalization of cannabis for medical purposes was published on his X profile by SDP representative in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Saša Magazinović. His post reads, among other things:

“Cannabis – hemp, its resins and tinctures should soon be treated differently according to the proposal of the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Today, the law strictly prohibits the use of all this. With the proposed decision, cannabis is transferred from the table of prohibited substances to the table of substances whose use is allowed under strict control, which is a prerequisite for the legalization of the use of cannabis for medical purposes. The decision is currently on eConsultations where you can view it.

If there are no objections, they will soon meet at the session of the Council of Ministers. I would like to thank the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices, which accelerates the process with its activities and has been a sincere partner for a long time, advocating for the legalization of cannabis for medical purposes and the fulfillment of our international obligations. I would like that, in addition to support, there is an awareness among politicians of the urgency and amount of work that needs to be done. New activities will follow soon. Step by step to the goal, that people who need it are treated by doctors, not dealers,” wrote Magazinović.
