The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, will be in the United States from March 23 to 26, 2026, where he will participate in a series of meetings with senior administration officials and members of Congress and the Senate.

As part of the visit, Minister Konaković will be one of the guests at an event dedicated to the promotion of the Sarajevo Haggadah, which will be held on March 24, 2026, on Capitol Hill in Washington. The event will bring together representatives of the US administration, Congress and Senate, as well as representatives of religious communities from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United States.

The program will emphasize the universal values of interreligious solidarity, courage and cooperation between communities, the protection of cultural heritage in times of conflict, and shared responsibility in opposing all forms of persecution and discrimination.

The Sarajevo Haggadah, as one of the most important symbols of the cultural heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina, carries a strong message of solidarity and humanity. Its history is a testament to how, in the most difficult times, individuals and communities have protected values that transcend religious and national divisions, demonstrating that the preservation of cultural heritage and the protection of human dignity are inextricably linked.

In the context of contemporary global challenges, including the rise of religious intolerance, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism and other forms of discrimination, this event sends a clear message about the importance of joint action to protect fundamental human values.
