The Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nenad Nešić, met today with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Yasser Sorour, for whom this was also a farewell visit, considering that he is ending his diplomatic mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Nešić thanked Ambassador Sorour for his cooperation so far, emphasizing his great role in strengthening and improving bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
He particularly emphasized the contribution to renewing and intensifying cooperation in the field of security, recalling that the result of this was last year’s first official visit of the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Egypt and a meeting with the Egyptian Minister of the Interior and the highest officials of this country.
The partnership established in the field of security represents a good example and basis for further cooperation and strengthening of economic and other ties between the two countries.
Minister Nešić wished Ambassador Sorour much success in his future work and expressed his willingness to continue maintaining friendly relations, both with his successor and with Egypt.
The fight against organized crime and terrorism and the improvement of cooperation in combating illegal migration were assessed as common interests, the Ministry of Security of BiH announced.
