The most successful ski season that lasted from December 2017 until March 2018 was recorded on Jahorina Mountain bringing revenues from ticket sales in the amount of 4,900,000 KM (3,09 million U.S. Dollars), a 75.0 percent increase than the last season.
The average price of ski pass for this winter season is 23,5 KM (14,86 U.S. Dollars), Jahorina Olympic Center official website said.
On February 15th millionth ride by the ski lifts was celebrated, and Jahorina Mountain saw some 5, 500 visitors, claiming another record.
Jahorina Mountain saw some 175,000 skiers that enjoyed various events that Jahorina Olympic Center prepared for 100 days of winter season.
Record number of visitors was recorded last weekend when one of the greatest skiers of all time, Italian Alberto Tomba, visited Jahorina Mountain and opened “Famous Friends of Jahorina Race.”
On Jahorina Mountain there are over 20 km of landscaped alpine skiing trails, linked by two modern six-seaters, three two-seaters and four ski lifts of a total capacity of over 13,000 skiers per hour.
The 14th Winter Olympic games took place in 1984 in Sarajevo, when Jahorina Mountain hosted Alpine skiing competition for women.
