The European kickboxing championship for seniors takes place from November 1 to 10 in Athens.
In the competition of over 1,000 competitors from 44 countries, the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina with 19 competitors is also performing.
The national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led as a selector by Salko Zildžić, has already secured nine medals on the third day of the competition, and in the remaining fights it remains to be seen how great it will be, and it is possible that the number won will increase by four more.
Bronze medals in the course of the championship so far, secured by: Sanjin Alihodžić, low kick, 81KG; Albert Ugrinčić, low kick, -91KG; Stefan Dobrijević, low kick, -86KG; Aleksa Brborović, kick light, -94KG; Damjan Stanišić, K1 style, -91KG; Anesa Lakača, low kick, 70KG; Jana Đerić, low kick, 65KG; Tarik Okerić, light contact, -69KG, while this year’s first final in the +70KG category and a secured silver medal awaits Jasmina Merdić in the low kick discipline.
In the fight for medals in the quarterfinals of the championship, the following will fight tomorrow: Nurdžihan Velagić, full contact, -81KG; Ivana Radić, kick light -65KG; Širin Bišćević, K1 style, -56KG and Emina Prguda, low kick -60KG.
Rijad Kasapović, K1 style, -63.5KG, bid farewell to further competition in the round of sixteen. Cvjetin Vujanović, K1 style -67KG, finished the competition in the round of 16; Šemsa Sulejmanović, K1 style, -70KG; Vedad Čutuk, low kick, -63.5KG. And in the quarterfinals, Melisa Mehanović, kick light, +70KG, announced the Kickboxing Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
