BiH Presidency Member announces Her Visit to Israel

The member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željka Cvijanović, announced that she will participate in a conference in Israel in June, and stressed that Republika Srpska continues diplomatic activities that are not to the detriment of anyone.

“We are trying to develop what we already have in the form of partnerships and friendships,” Cvijanović said, adding that she expects continued cooperation with the new Hungarian government.

Cvijanović stated that the U.S. policy turn towards BiH is primarily the result of the work and persistence of the structure from the RS, which wanted to, as she says, explain the situation in the right way and which recognized that a government has come to America that is in line with the values promoted by the RS and its ruling policy.

Cvijanović stated that she used the previous and all other visits to the USA to discuss what the RS considers to be the realities within BiH and the region, and for the RS to show itself as an interlocutor who wants to help the American administration to have a more constructive view of this area after almost three decades.

She pointed out that in the talks she conducted in the USA, there was allegedly no word of accusation against the RS, nor could support for the use of Bonn powers be heard. Cvijanović said that RS sees in this a great chance to stabilize opportunities and to restore credibility and integrity to what are democratic institutions and democratic processes, but also a chance for some further processes that will take place.

“I am sure that this is just the beginning of something that could look like a serious recovery of a patient who was almost dead or life-threatening”, assessed Cvijanović, Srna writes.
