BiH Presidency Member met with Croatian Prime Minister

Member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović, as part of his working visit to the Republic of Croatia, spoke in Zagreb with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Andrej Plenković.

As announced by the BiH Presidency, the meeting discussed bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia, resolving open issues between the two countries, strengthening bilateral cooperation, especially in the field of economy, infrastructure and European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

The member of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, said that the relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia must be based on mutual respect, appreciation, and equality in interstate relations. Bećirović pointed out that cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia, based on the principles of respect for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, is of particular importance for both countries, as well as for the stability of Southeast Europe.

Bećirović drew attention to the fact that the improvement of friendly relations with neighboring countries is one of the priorities of the foreign policy of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in this light emphasized the importance of improving relations with the Republic of Croatia.

He thanked the Republic of Croatia for its support to the European and Euro-Atlantic path of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and emphasized that our country has a place in full membership in the EU and NATO.

It was also discussed how in a concrete and practical way the Republic of Croatia, which is a member of the EU and NATO, can contribute to the acceleration of the European and Euro-Atlantic path of Bosnia and Herzegovina with its experience.

Member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenković also discussed projects in the field of infrastructure, as well as developing cooperation in the fields of agriculture, industry and tourism. They stated that the potential should also be used in the fields of scientific and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
