The State Prosecutor’s Office has filed an indictment against an individual accused of publicly threatening employees of the United States (U.S.) Embassy in Sarajevo.
The Prosecutor’s Office stated that A.A. was charged with, while in a state of insanity, on January 20th, 2024—with the intent to seriously intimidate the population of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) – publicly threatening via social media to carry out attacks on the lives, physical integrity, freedom of movement, and taking hostage of the employees of the U.S. Embassy.
It was also noted that the suspect has previous convictions.
A.A. is charged with committing the criminal offense of terrorism while in a state of insanity.
