The gross production of electricity in BiH in April amounted to 1,015 gigawatt-hours, which is 23.51 percent less than in the same month of 2023, and 24.87 percent less compared to the previous month, the Agency for Statistics of BiH announced.
In the total gross production, hydroelectric power plants participated with 34 percent, thermal power plants with 60.9 percent, and solar and wind power plants with 5.1 percent.
The gross production of hydropower plants in April amounted to 531 gigawatt-hours, which is 29.01 percent less than in the same month of 2023, and 42.98 percent less than in March.
When it comes to the gross production of thermal power plants in April, it amounted to 618 gigawatt-hours, which is 22.17 percent less than in April last year, and 9.65 percent less than in March.
The gross production of solar and wind power plants in April amounted to 52 gigawatt-hours and is higher by 10.64 percent than in the same month of 2023, and lower by 16.13 percent than in the previous month.
