Exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the first quarter of this year amounted to four billion and 400 million BAM, which is 2.5 percent more than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to six billion and 542 million BAM, which is more than 3 .8 percent.
The coverage of imports by exports amounted to 67.2 percent, and the foreign trade goods deficit was two billion and 142 million BAM, the BiH Statistics Agency announced.
Exports to CEFTA countries amounted to 835 million BAM, which is 3.9 percent more than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to 745 million BAM, which is 4.7 percent less. The coverage of imports by exports with CEFTA countries was 112.1 percent.
Exports to EU countries in the first quarter amounted to three billion and 252 million BAM, which is 2.3 percent more than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to three billion and 890 million BAM, which is 10.2 percent more than in the same period last year. Coverage of imports by exports with EU countries amounted to 83.6 percent.
