The Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nenad Nešić, announced today at a press conference in Sarajevo that he received permission to access secret information of the “top secret” level.
Nešić showed a solution according to which there is no security obstacle for his access to secret data of the top secret degree. He emphasized that this was done by the security agencies of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Thus, we put an end to another speculation and connecting me with anything else. Unfortunately, some people make money by lying to other people, choosing neither means nor procedures, not taking into account whether they may be endangering the safety of the person who are not in the positions I am in, do they threaten the safety of my family, my minor children,” said Nešić.
On the occasion of the visit of the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen to our country, Nešić welcomed her and said that he hopes she will see how many positive steps have been taken on the way to the European Union, especially the Ministry of Security.
He said that the law on preventing money laundering is being harmonized, and that he hopes that the law will be finished in the coming days.
Answering the question about cooperation with FRONTEX, Nešić said that the negotiation team and the framework are ready.
“I can say that it is about the hours when they will be at the Council of Ministers. So we will fulfill another big step, we have formed a team, agreed on the framework in which that team will move, we have chosen the head of the team”, said Nešić and added that they “once again confirm that the Ministry of Security is the locomotive of the European path of BiH”.
Nešić said that he was informed by SIPA that they had received an order from the BiH Prosecutor’s Office to take measures and actions in order to verify the validity of the allegations from the Ministry of Security act, which concern Christian Schmidt, the high representative of the international community in BiH.
“SIPA acts according to the order of the Prosecutor’s Office and determines what we submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office, whether there are elements of criminal responsibility and everything that they should answer. What makes me happy is that the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is taking certain measures and actions,” Nešić said, AA reports.
