Bosnia and Herzegovina will receive certain amounts of serum against snake venom from the Institute of Virology, Vaccines Serums “Torlak” from Belgrade, it was confirmed in the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH.
The Ministry of Civil Affairs told Srna news agency that an online meeting was held yesterday, in which, in addition to representatives of this ministry, representatives of the Torlak Institute, the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of BiH, the Institute of Public Health of Republika Srpska and the Public Health Institute of the Federation BiH participated.
Against snake venom, a serum is given that is currently not available in healthcare facilities throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The venom of the viper snake, which is a protected animal in both BiH and Montenegro, is used for the production of serum, Srna news agency writes.
