BiH’s Foreign Trade Deficit amounts to 6.25 Billion BAM

Exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the first six months of this year (January – June) amounted to 8 billion and 432 million BAM, which is 5.8 percent more than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to 14 billion and 682 million BAM, which is 4.5 percent more.

The coverage of imports by exports in the first half of the year amounted to 57.4 percent, while the foreign trade deficit of BiH amounted to 6 billion and 251 million BAM, announced the Agency for Statistics of BiH.

Exports from BiH to CEFTA countries amounted to 1 billion and 426 million BAM, which is 12.9 percent more than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to 1 billion and 791 million BAM, which is 12.6 percent more.

The coverage of imports by exports to CEFTA countries amounted to 79.6 percent.

Exports from BiH to the European Union countries amounted to 6 billion and 228 million BAM, which is 4.9 percent more than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to 8 billion and 552 million BAM, which is 1.6 percent more. The coverage of imports by exports to the EU countries amounted to 72.8 percent.
