BiH’s Foreign Trade Deficit amounts to 879 Million BAM

In Bosnia and Herzegovina’s foreign trade, in January 2025, exports amounted to 1 billion and 214 million BAM, which is 3.7 percent more than in January 2024, while imports amounted to 2 billion and 93 million BAM, which is 9.8 percent more than in January of the previous year.

The coverage of imports by exports amounted to 58 percent, while the foreign trade deficit of BiH amounted to 879 million BAM.

Exports to CEFTA countries amounted to 204 million BAM, which is 15.6 percent more than in January 2024, while imports amounted to 247 million BAM, which is 24 percent more than in January of the previous year. The coverage of imports by exports amounted to 82.4 percent.

Exports to European Union countries amounted to 907 million BAM, which is 1.1 percent more than in January 2024, while imports amounted to 1 billion 187 million BAM, which is 4.3 percent more than in January of the previous year. The coverage of imports by exports was 76.4 percent, according to data from the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
