Bosnia and Herzegovina achieved a historic success in weightlifting at the 2026 Senior European Championships (EP) in Batumi (Georgia), where our Olympian Andranik Karapetyan won two medals.
Karapetyan won a silver medal in the snatch, thus writing a new page in the history of this sport in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This is also the first European medal for BiH weightlifting.
In the continuation of the competition, Karapetyan won a bronze medal in the overall event, bringing Bosnia and Herzegovina a total of two medals from this championship.
