”Sara is an extremely talented person who won numerous awards, and wrote research papers, which culminated in receiving a full scholarship for a doctorate at one of the most prestigious technical universities in the world, Caltech!
After graduating from high school, she traveled to the United States (U.S.) where she studied physics, applied mathematics, and computer science at Furman University in South Carolina where she received the Kenneth C. Abernethy Award for Excellence in Computer Science.
While studying at Furman, she had numerous jobs, including research assistant, tutor, IT technician, and research analyst. In addition, she has always been a volunteer throughout her life, as her rich CV shows.
After graduating and while trying to decide where to go to graduate school, she worked as an Assistant Director of Institutional Research, as a researcher in the Chemistry Department, and then as the Director of Institutional Research and Reporting. For someone her age, this is just amazing!
Sara is an ambitious physicist, mathematician, and computer scientist interested in using technology and physics to solve complex systemic problems. At Caltech, she will focus her research on the physics of living matter.
Sara, congratulations, I think I speak on behalf of everyone in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), ‘We are proud of you‘,” wrote Custovic.
