In Bugojno, the 837th anniversary of the Ban Kulin Charter and the Day of Interstate Good Neighborly Relations were marked. The organizers are the municipality of Bugojno and the Bosnian Academic Society of Austria, and Stjepan Mesić was presented with a plaque for the development of democracy in the region.
Celebrating the 837th anniversary of the Charter of Kulina Ban, who was the sovereign ruler in the sovereign state of Bosnia, its importance in the current geopolitical context, which protects Bosnia and Herzegovina from the denial of its state continuity, is particularly highlighted.
“The Bana Kulina charter is a safe barrier against the imperial attacks of neighbors and neighbors from the right and the left from the east and west, as well as some other circles in the world that are trying to destroy society and the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said security expert prof. Ahmed Kico.
Ban Kulin fought for the right to be respected in Europe at the time because he had the state of Bosnia behind him, emphasized former President of the Republic of Croatia Stjepan Mesić, who was presented with the Plaque for the Development of Democracy in the Region.
“The only message can be that Ban Kulin was right with his charter after so many years, he is relevant again, and the citizens of BiH and the citizens of Europe are aware of that,” concluded Stjepan Mesić, former President of the SFRY and the Republic of Croatia.
As part of marking the anniversary of this significant document, a student of the generation in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and soon a first-year student of the Faculty of Medicine, was presented with a special recognition.
“I received recognition for both academic and extracurricular success. Somehow I always aspired to do the duties of an average high school student and to do everything possible that can be done,” said student of the generation in the FBiH Ensar Druško.
The past should not be forgotten, but we must not live in it, said Stjepan Mesić in Bugojno, who is a witness to the time in which this country remained and continues.
