On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr also called the Festival of Breaking the Fast or Ramadan Eid, which Muslims celebrate on May 13, 2021, the Archbishop of Vrhbosna, Cardinal Vinko Puljic, sent a congratulatory message to the Rais-l-ulama of the Islamic Community in BiH, Husein effendi Kavazovic and all Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Dear effendi Kavazovic, soon you and all Muslims will celebrate Eid al-Fitr. That is why I extend my sincere congratulations to you personally and to all Muslims on the occasion of this Ramadan Eid. Every religious celebration builds the spiritual personality of the believer but also increases spirituality in the wider public.

Our time needs a builder of peace, coexistence and tolerance. The celebration of Ramadan-Eid with the religious significance of the sacrifice of fasting throughout the month should be a source of religious joy.

Let it contribute to the building of better interpersonal relations and readiness to build together, in peace and equality, our future out of faith in God and our homeland Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated Cardinal Puljic in his congratulatory message.
