CEC BiH: 48,074 Voters registered to vote from abroad

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina determined that a total of 48,074 voters will be registered to vote outside BiH in the General Elections, which are scheduled to be held on October 4.

The decision was made at today’s session of the CEC, after consideration of the report on voter applications for voting outside BiH through the “e-Elections” portal and the report on the registration of refugees in the Central Voter List.

The decision enters into force on the day of its adoption, and will be published today on the website of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina. On the day of publication, it will be considered that it has been delivered to all participants in the election process.

It is possible to appeal the decision to the Appellate Division of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, through the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, within two days of publication. Due to the fact that the deadline expires during non-working days, appeals can be submitted until Monday, August 3, at midnight.

At the same time, the Central Election Commission of BiH rejected the requests for registration in the extract from the Central Voter’s List for voting outside BiH for 5,263 persons with the status of temporary residence abroad, because they did not meet the conditions prescribed by the Election Law of BiH.

Also, registration was rejected for 285 applicants with refugee status, because they too did not meet the legal requirements for registration to vote outside Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Lists of rejected applications will be published today on the website http://www.izbori.ba, in the section “General elections 2026”. All those whose applications were rejected have the right to appeal to the Appellate Department of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina until August 3rd at midnight.

Complaints can be submitted through the Central Election Commission of BiH, by fax to the number 033/251-329, by e-mail to the address info@izbori.ba or in person at the headquarters of the Central Election Commission of BiH at 7 Danijela Ozma Street in Sarajevo.
