The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina estimated the annual core inflation for the first six months in the services sector at 4.24 percent, while the annual growth in average consumer prices in this sector was estimated at 4.72 percent.
The Bank stated that in June, inflationary pressures strengthened in average consumer prices in the services sector, and other price categories that are included in the calculation of core inflation.
“Due to the smaller sum of weights in core inflation, compared to total inflation, the change in inflation for the period is less noticeable,” the Central Bank explained.
The Bank added that the estimate of core inflation based on official statistical data does not deviate significantly from the estimate from the June round of rapid estimates of core inflation.
