Several people were injured in a chain collision involving more than a hundred cars due to ice on a highway near the Chinese city of Suzhou, Chinese state media reported.
Footage released by Chinese media shows piles of cars crashing into each other.
The traffic police announced that three of the injured were taken to hospital, while six suffered minor injuries.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
Over the past few weeks, large parts of China have been affected by ice waves, blizzards and freezing rain.
During this week, the government raised its emergency response for freezing temperatures and also started several response plans for transportation flow, supplies and electricity in provinces and cities including Beijing, Hebei, Shanxi, Anhui and Hubei, Xinhua news reported.
