Chairman of BiH Council of Ministers Vjekoslav Bevanda met today with the newly appointed commander of the NATO HQ in Sarajevo, Brigadier General Walter Lord.
Bevanda thanked him for NATO’s cooperation with BiH and said that continuous work with NATO was a deciding factor for training the Armed Forces of BiH in best possible manner for their participation in international missions.
They also talked about the solving the issue of military assets and noted that further effort is needed in the next period in order for BiH to become member of the NATO.
Bevanda and Lord also talked about the issue of destroying surplus ammunition and mines.
Lord said that the priority of the mission in the period to come will be military assets; restarting the process of defence checks and analysing needs of citizens in order to determine in which form will the Armed Forces of BiH function in future.
