Chairperson of BiH Presidency met with the President of the Republic of Cyprus

The Chairperson of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željka Cvijanović, spoke today in Nicosia with the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulidis. It was assessed that the bilateral relations of the two countries are good and friendly, with a mutually expressed desire for their further improvement, especially on the economic level.

Cvijanović introduced Hristodulidis to the current political and economic situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and special emphasis was placed on the process of European integration.

The Chairperson of the BiH Presidency pointed out that there is a general consensus of the representatives of both entities and all constituent peoples in BiH regarding membership in the European Union, and thanked for the support that the Republic of Cyprus, as a member of the European Union, provides to BiH on its way to full membership.

Cyprus interested in investing in the energy sector

During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged opinions on other current topics, and the President of the Republic of Cyprus expressed his interest in investment opportunities in the energy sector.

Cvijanović expressed her satisfaction with today’s meeting with the President of Cyprus Hristodulidis and the discussion about the past cooperation between the two countries, as well as the prospects for its development, and invited Hristodulidis to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As part of the working visit, Cvijanović spoke today with the President of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus, Anita Dimitrija, and visited the separation line and the buffer zone located on the main street (Ledra) in Nicosia, announced the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
