The Chief Prosecutor of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milanko Kajganić, stated that investigations into allegations of plans of murder of a prosecutor and a police officer are continuing, and that some of the prosecutors have received additional security.
Kajganić says that as part of these checks, one location on Sokolac was searched, during which a sniper rifle and an automatic rifle were found, but at the moment it is not possible to say what they were intended for, i.e. whether they were left over from the past war or something else.
He said that the allegations about planning the murder came from a detainee in the state prison in Vojkovići.
“It was commented on custody, it is not related to any person, nor the case. We know that the suspects from the so-called “Sky case” commented and that is now being checked,” Kajganić said.
He says that some prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina have received additional security, without specifying which prosecutors they are.
Members of the Agency for Investigation and Protection /Sipa/BiH yesterday, by order of the Court and Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, searched several cells in the state prison in Vojkovići, it was said earlier in SIPA.
The director of the police of Republika Srpska Siniša Kostrešević issued an order to all police administrations to raise security measures due to the knowledge that two murders were planned.
