China has decided to impose sanctions on US industrial companies and their managers for arms sales to Taiwan and in response to sanctions on Chinese companies imposed for cooperation with Russia, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
“China has decided to introduce countermeasures against 12 US special purpose industries companies and 10 of their top-ranking managers,” the ministry said in a statement.
The statement points out that the US continues to sell weapons to Taiwan, violating the “one China” principle.
“In addition, the US continues to indiscriminately impose illegal unilateral sanctions on many Chinese companies based on so-called Russia-related factors,” the statement added.
