Chinese Company to build Cement Factory?

chinese companyThe Ambassador of BiH in China, Borislav Maric, said that the Chinese state company “CAMCE”, should begin to build a cement factory in the municipality of Novi Grad by the New Year, in which will be employed about 200 workers.

Maric said that the investment is worth about 80 million EUR.

“I recently met with the management of that Chinese company. They will construct the cement factory with their own funds in cooperation with the local `Fortis group’ and will be the majority owners,” said Maric.

He says that “CAMCE” is a large and serious enterprise engaged in the construction of water supply systems, and industrial facilities in the field of petro chemistry in Pakistan, South America, Canada and other countries.

He said that the RS should more actively talk with Chinese companies about commercializing the Banja Luka Airport and later in attracting low-cost airlines.

“This is especially important, because China and BiH have signed an agreement for improvement of the economy of 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe. They have a fund of 10 billion EUR for that, and the funds for any good project would be approved by the China’s largest state-owned investment bank Eksim,” said Maric.

He emphasized that preparations for signing of agreement between BiH and China on the matter of tourist cooperation are almost done.

“This could result in a large group visits of Chinese tourists who are known to spend a lot of money abroad. In particular, they are interested in everything that is related to the anti-fascist past of the RS and BiH, Velimir Bata Zivojinovic and the recording of the cult film `Walter defends Sarajevo`,” said Maric.

He said that he will be on this function until the 1st of September, and that Anton Ril will replace him.

Maric expressed his gratitude for being able to be an ambassador of BiH in China for his two mandates, promote economic and other relations between the two countries and meet three Chinese presidents.
