The Chinese Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina has officially confirmed that it has sent a diplomatic note stating that the country’s authorities do not accept the legitimacy of Christian Schmidt as the new High Representative in BiH.

“In the note of the OHR’s response, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in BiH stated that since the draft Resolution on the appointment of the High Representative proposed by China and Russia at the UN Security Council was not adopted, the Chinese side considers that the appointment of a new High Representative is not legitimate.” it is stated in the answer of the Chinese Embassy in BiH to the question about the diplomatic note.

The note from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China was sent to the addresses of the Office of the High Representative in BiH (OHR) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers.

Russia’s ambassador to BiH, Igor Kalabukhov, said earlier that his country did not recognize the legality and legitimacy of Schmidt’s election, and said he did not intend to co-operate with him, and the embassy also sent a note with the same view.
