The Banja Luka police today submitted a report to the District Public Prosecutor’s Office of Banja Luka against D.R. from Serbia, who is suspected of having committed 34 crimes of serious theft since the beginning of the year.
As stated in the announcement of the Banjaluka Police Department, as part of the operational action codenamed “SILVER”, which is aimed at preventing and detecting property crimes, police officers came to know that the person D.R. can be linked to the execution of 34 criminal acts of serious theft committed in the Banja Luka area from January 1 to March 5 of this year.
“D.R. it is suspected that with the use of physical force and suitable tools, he forcibly entered the interior of family houses and apartments in the area of the city of Banjaluka, and then, found and stole money and various valuable items. The material damage caused by these criminal acts amounts to about 160,000 BAM”, the announcement reads.
It is further stated that based on the order of the judge of the Basic Court in Banjaluka, and with the prior consent of the prosecutor of the District Public Prosecutor’s Office of Banjaluka, a search was made of the apartment and other premises in Banjaluka, as well as the Opel passenger vehicle, which is owned by D.R. used.
“On that occasion, 91 items were found that were temporarily confiscated with confirmation (gold and silver jewelry, wristwatches, mobile phones, firearms, clothing), and which can be linked to the execution of the criminal acts in question. Police officers are taking all measures and actions in order to find the person D.R., who is on the run,” the statement of the Banjaluka Police Administration points out.
