The autopsy report of 22-year-old Adem Jušić, who was seriously injured in a traffic accident on New Year’s Eve and died after being admitted to the Cantonal Hospital “Dr. Irfan Ljubijankić” in Bihać, has not yet been completed. In the meantime, the family of the tragically killed young man, together with friends and neighbors, organized a peaceful gathering today at the City Square in Bihać, saying that this is a fight for truth, responsibility and justice.

Addressing the audience and the media, the mother of the deceased young man Anisa Jušić thanked the citizens for their support and called on the public to persist in demanding that all the circumstances of the case be clarified, so that similar tragedies will never happen again.

“Let us all fight for our children and be persistent for justice, for my Adem. Let us never allow such things to happen again. We demand that the truth be established and that the guilty party declare what he did and why. There are institutions – the Police, the Court and the Prosecutor’s Office, which should deal with this,” said Jušić.

She also pointed out questions regarding the provision of medical assistance, stating that the family is seeking answers about the timing and manner of the health system’s response.

“This case has shown who has and who does not have the right to treatment. Why was my Adem not provided with assistance at the right time? There are statements, there are times for surgical procedures, we demand that everything be investigated,” she said.

Finally, she appealed for the unity of citizens and the responsibility of institutions, emphasizing that the goal of the gathering is to prevent the recurrence of similar tragedies.

“We are fighting for a better tomorrow and for the right of our children to live here freely and safely, in the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said the mother of the deceased young man.
