In the yard of the Tabhan Mosque in Visoko, the first open-air library in Visoko has been put at the disposal of the citizens, where books can be taken and left by whoever wants to.
This project was implemented by the Majlis of the Islamic Community of Visoko, which informed citizens about the completion of the project via Facebook and indicated how they could use it.
“If you have a book that you don’t need anymore, that is a duplicate, or you simply want someone else to read it, you can leave it on the specified shelves so that it is available to readers,” said the officer Edžnan Hajrić.
They point out that the library is open 24 hours a day, that it will not be locked, and that anyone can donate or borrow a book at any time. They point out that they can read it wherever they want, but that the only obligation is to return it after using it.
“It would be nice if you could write a short sentence on the book you are donating, for example: ‘This book is being donated by (state your name and surname)’ for the open library of the Tabhan Mosque, or something similar. The books do not have to be of religious content,” added ef . Hajrić.
The main reason for the implementation of this project lies in the desire to promote books and the culture of reading, especially among younger generations. And the project of building shelves and an open-air library was realized with the help of Wood Team Visoko and Mega-trans BiH, and the shelves were designed by Jasmin Sirčo.
“This library near our mosque will certainly beautify the city, and in addition we hope that it will come to life and be useful to the citizens,” concluded the Tabhan Mosque in Visoko.
