The project was of significant importance for the development of the statistical system in B&H, especially in the area of business statistics, but also in strengthening the institutional capacity of all statistical institutions in the country.
Accurate, reliable and timely official statistics at the state level are very important because they help to plan and monitor the process of transition and reform.
Accordingly, the long-term objective of the EU is to support the statistical system in B&H towards its European path, and one of the positive steps in this direction was this Twinning Project.
The Twinning Project ‘Support to state and entity statistical institutions, phase V’ is financed by the EU under the instrument for pre-accession assistance (IPA 2008) in the amount of 1,3 million Euros.
The Statistics of Denmark together with Germany, as well as younger partners, and Italy, Finland and Latvia implemented the project.
The ceremony will be held at 15:00 in hotel ‘Europe’, announced the EU Delegation to B&H.
