Companies in FBiH owe as much as 2.6 billion BAM

Debt based on taxes, contributions, fees, and other compensations of companies in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) at the end of the first half of this year amounted to 2.6 billion BAM.

Of that, the principal amount is about two billion, while the rest is interest.

The largest debtors on June 30th, 2023 are public companies, as can be seen from the list recently published by the FBiH Taxation Authority: Public Enterprise “Railways of the FBiH” – 174.066.199 BAM, Public Enterprise “Elekroprivreda BiH (EPBiH)” JSC – Coal Mine “Kreka” – 162.625.124 BAM, Public Enterprise “EPBIH” JSC – Brown Coal Mine “Zenica”  – 147.892.994 BAM, Cantonal public utility company “Gradski Saobracaj (GRAS)” – 117.220.697 BAM, Public Enterprise “EPBIH” JSC – Brown Coal Mine “Breza” – 115.158.316 BAM, Public Health Institute “University Clinical Hospital” Mostar – 102.804.970 BAM, Public Enterprise “EPBIH” JSC – Brown Coal Mine “Kakanj” – 91.478.866 BAM, “Hidrogradnja” JSC (bankruptcy) Sarajevo – 66.637.653 BAM, Public Enterprise “Motorways of the FBiH” – 61.234.283 BAM, Ironworks “Zenica” (bankruptcy) – 49.188.304 BAM

There are as many as 4.823 companies on the list of those who owe more than 50.000 BAM. It is interesting that at the top of the list are numerous betting shops that owe multi-million sums of funds, Biznis Info reports.
