Conference of Solidarity, Reconstruction and Development of the Cantonal Hospital “Dr. Irfan Ljubijankić” Bihać

A conference of solidarity, reconstruction and development of the Cantonal hospital “Dr. Irfan Ljubijankić” Bihać will be held on 25 March, at the UN premises in Sarajevo, where will be presented the operation of this hospital, consequences of the devastating fire and the current conditions in which the hospital maintains the required scope of work.

Also, the further steps of the hospital development that are necessary to achieve the creation of a modern health care institution for all the citizens of Una-Sana Canton will be presented and will be appreciated all those who have so far contributed to the hospital reconstruction.

On this occasion will be signed a Memorandum of Understanding between UNDP in B&H, Czech Development Agency and the Cantonal hospital “Dr. Irfan Ljubijankić” Bihać for the project “Ensuring energy efficiency of the Cantonal hospital in Bihać”.

The Cantonal hospital “Dr.Irfan Ljubijankić” Bihać is a health institution with a tradition of more than 90 years. This hospital suffered a huge material damage during the fire that happened on 26 July 2013 and currently the health services are provided in unsatisfactory premises and conditions.
