The purpose of the Conference is to discuss progress and challenges in the implementation of the National War Crimes Strategy, including issues on the processing of war crimes, and to present the results achieved within the framework of the EU funded project “The Establishment of an Adequate System for the Efficient Processing of War Crimes in Judicial Institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
Media (photographers and cameramen only) are invited to record the beginning of the Conference that will be opened by welcome remarks by Dr Renzo Daviddi, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to BiH, Milan Tegeltija, President of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH (HJPC), Ambassador Jonathan Moore, Head of the OSCE Mission to BiH and Milorad Novković, President of the Supervisory Body for Overseeing the Implementation of the National War Crimes Strategy.
Representatives of Supervisory Body for overseeing the Implementation of the National War Crimes Strategy, Prosecutors’ offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina and representatives of the courts that are budgetary support users, as well as representatives of relevant institutions and organisations will participate at the Conference.
The Supervisory Body for Overseeing the Implementation of the National War Crimes Strategy is an expert body established by the decision of the BiH Council of Ministers that continuously monitor the efficiency and quality of the implementation of measures from the National War Crimes Strategy in order to asses the accomplished results in relation to those that were expected. The Supervisory Body for Overseeing the Implementation of the National War Crimes Strategy monitors and supervises the progress of beneficiary prosecutors’ offices and courts in meeting the targets on war crimes processing set out within above mentioned EU funded project.
