Brothers Elmedin, Elvedin, Sejfo and Hamid Valjevac were left without a father in 2006, and without full parental care in 2009, when they were left without a home and normal family life.
After their stay in foster-certified family that is no longer able to take care of them, they are currently residing in the Home for children without parental care in Tuzla.
Driven by this difficult life story, MFS-EMMAUS started humanitarian activity for the construction of family home for the brothers Valjevac to finally get their permanent home. The main objective of the project is to build a house with four residential units which would ensure a better future for brothers Valjevac, for planning and establishment of their own families.
Works on the construction of the house in Donje Vukovije in Kalesija have already started. Dimensions of the house will be 10m x 10m. Given that the value of the works is 91,125.00 BAM, the support of the wider community is needed in order to successfully implement this project by February 2017.
MFS – EMMAUS appeals to all friends, organizations, institutions, companies and all people of good will, in accordance with their abilities, to find a way to help brothers Valjevac.
Only in the past 2 years, EMMAUS organized collection of funds from donors and the construction of 69 houses for victims of flood and socially vulnerable citizens. We gained the confidence of both domestic and foreign donors when it comes to collecting aid of any kind and its distribution. We are especially pleased that people of goodwill recognized in EMMAUS partner for the implementation of large and complex humanitarian projects of construction of buildings, custody and providing care for those who are in need.
