The agreement contains the further development of the activities carried out for several years to increase energy efficiency and rationalization of energy management in order to reduce CO2 emissions and the implementation of information systems for energy management in public buildings (EMIS). EMIS so far monitored the energy consumption in more than 500 facilities across the country.
On this occasion, Yuri Afanasiev, UN Resident Coordinator in B&H, Safet Harbinja, director of the Environmental Protection Fund of FB&H and Sanjin Avdić, head of the Department for Energy and Environment UNDP will address the audience. This contract will enable the introduction of EMIS in an additional 50 public buildings in the Federation, including the Environmental Protection Fund of FB&H.
