The mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karic, announced and reacted to the invitation to the screening of Boris Malagurski’s film about Republika Srpska (RS). Karic assessed it as one more in a series of provocations that have been arriving in recent days.
”Member of the Commission for the Preservation of National Monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Andjelina Osap Gacanovic, obviously politically instructed, claims that ”BiH cultural heritage does not exist”, some Serbian historians claim the same in a letter sent to the public.
As part of the campaign to deny the continuity of BiH statehood, Andjelina Osap Gacanovic, with her vote against, prevents the installation of a monument to King Tvrtko in Sarajevo, because he is the ”Serbian king” for her.
The unconstitutional commemoration of January 9th is moving to Istocno Sarajevo, practically at the gates of the city that was terrorized by aggressors and under the longest siege in modern history.
The answer to all these provocations is the same. We will fight with the truth, call for the reading of international judgments, and learn from history books that are not lies and revisionism.
You will not succeed in your provocative and evil intentions. Many have not succeeded,” Karic stated on her Twitter.
