Council of Europe Development Bank Approved 2 Loans in the Amount of 7.5 Million Euro

Development Bank of Council of Europe approved to B&H two loans, worth 7.5 million euros for the development of small and medium enterprises and for social accommodations, announced today the Governor of  this Bank Rolf Vencel to press in Sarajevo, ahead the annual plenary meeting of Council of Europe Development Bank.

2.5 million euro are approved for the development of small and medium enterprise and 5 million euro for social housing.

“We will invest 100.000 euro for mapping of minefields that have been moved during the floods, in the form of assistance for the country to cope with the consequences of the recent floods”, said Vencel.

According to the amount for the rehabilitation from floods, Vencel, said that the report on evaluation of damages will be concluded by the end of this week and will be followed by donor conference, beginning of July, where the Development Bank of the Council of Europe will participate as part of the international assistance to B&H.

“When we undertook the task to hos the Annual Plenary Meeting of Council of Europe Development Bank, we had no idea that it would be held at the time that the country would suffer from the biggest natural disaster”, said the Deputy Chairman of Council of Ministers and Minister of Finance and Treasure of B&H Nikola Špririć.

He added that B&H and the Development Bank of Council of Ministers has a good cooperation since 2003, since is a member of it. Špirić stated that the Bank will invest funds in amount of 725.5 million BAM in B&H through various projects.

“I am grateful to the Governor of the Bank that expressed his readiness to assist B&H imidiatelly after the natural disaster”, said  Špirić.
