Council of Ministers Today on the Appointment of the Deputy Director of SIPA

The Council of Ministers of BiH is scheduled to consider at today’s session a proposal for the appointment of the Deputy Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), as well as a Draft Amendment to the Financing Agreement between BiH and the European Investment Bank for flood protection measures.

The draft amendment was proposed by the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH, while the Ministry of Security proposed the appointment of the Deputy Director of SIPA and a decision to request international assistance for protection and rescue in firefighting.

Also on the agenda is the Draft Law on Units of Measurement in BiH, proposed by the Institute of Metrology, as well as a proposal for an action plan of the Council of Ministers for the implementation of the “Open Government Partnership” initiative for the period from 2025 to 2027, and reports on the work of 54 institutions of the Council of Ministers for the previous year.

At the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, the Ministers should also consider the report on the implementation and effects of the Decision on the temporary suspension and temporary reduction of customs rates on the import of certain goods until the end of last year, as well as the Analysis of BiH’s foreign trade exchange for the first three months of this year.

In addition, the Ministers should also consider information on the emergency situation in the air traffic control system caused by sudden and simultaneous sick leave of the operational staff of the BiH Air Navigation Services Agency /BHANSA/.

The session is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. in the Institutions Building in Sarajevo, the Council of Ministers announced.
