In the first six months of 2026, the courts in Bosnia and Herzegovina resolved 107,609 cases included in the case resolution plans, achieving 64 percent of the annual realization of the plan.
Special progress was made in solving the oldest cases. The courts implemented 61 percent of the plan from the two oldest age categories, compared to 53 percent in the same period last year.
These results show that the courts intensified their work on cases that have been waiting for the longest time to be resolved and additionally improved compliance with the obligation to resolve cases according to their age.
“The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH) will continue to monitor the implementation of case resolution plans with the aim of further improving the efficiency of the courts and ensuring access to justice within acceptable time limits ,” the HJPC announced.
