“We have determined that, at this moment, we are holding the executive authority in the FB&H until we create some other one. We cannot say that we do not have the Government of the FB&H, but with the parliamentary majority which we have, it is a minority”, Covic considers.
Covic pointed out how he earlier used to say that, conditionally speaking, it is impossible to create a stable majority with minor parties. Regardless of who is talking to whom, according to Covic, it will again be a minority government.
“How will the conversation with these parties eventually end, I am not quite optimistic. You see, one day one party can say it wants to, the second day that it does not want to, sets some new conditions and that will last until who knows when. I am convinced that, above all, it is on SDA to find long-term strategic partners on the political scene for itself among the Bosniaks. My discussions with the SBB will continue further and I hope that we will reach one more stable majority in several months. For me it is a success if until the end of the year we create a strong parliamentary majority in which the will of Croats will be dominantly expressed. It is expressed; there is no need for any further speculations. It would be good if we manage that also through the Bosniak electorate gathered around SDA and I already expressed my attitude about how it should be regulated since, according to the parliamentary capacity, for me it is exclusively the SBB. However, a clear stand about that must primarily be taken by the SDA”, Covic said.
