Dragan Čović, president of the HDZ, said today in Mostar that they do not need any new negotiation processes and that they have completed the negotiations and that they have partners for the establishment of Government at the level of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Political capacity
“I think that is why we have enough political capacity and I am sure that I will answer your question very clearly that we will not need any new negotiation processes, we have finished the negotiations, we have a partner and we need to realize that partnership by establishing the Government of the Federation”,” said Čović.
He pointed out that he hopes that the process of forming the government in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be completed in the next seven to ten days and that then there will be a couple of cantons left to deal with in the same way.
“After that comes a big job, to try to do in six months what some are advocating that the high representative will do now.”
Three nations
“High representatives can make decisions, they are short-term decisions, the only representatives of the three constituent nations and all those who are legitimately elected can change the electoral legislation in the parliaments of Bosnia and Herzegovina, possibly change the limited Constitution and create an environment so that we never bring up this topic again,” he said.
In the end, he said that he hopes to have a normal pre-election, election and post-election atmosphere already after the elections, which will be held in three years.
