Croatia Set to Elect President in Pivotal Second Round of Elections

According to the provisional results of the State Election Commission, after processing 86.05 percent of the polling stations, the current president of Croatia, Zoran Milanović, candidate of SDP and partner, won 49.74 percent, and candidate of HDZ and partner Dragan Primorac 20.34 percent of votes.

Marija Selak-Raspudić won 8.64 percent of the votes, Ivana Kekin 8.08, Tomislav Jonjić 4.51, Miro Bulj 3.79, Branka Lozo 2.37, Niko Tokić Kartelo 0.87.

The turnout in the elections was higher than 45 percent.

After 10 p.m., it will be known who the Croatian voters gave the most votes, that is, whether the president will be elected today or only in two weeks, on January 12, 2025, when the second round of elections is planned.
