“It is in the Croatian national interest for BiH to be stable, that Croats are constitutional and equal citizens. Our arrival shows that we care about Croats in BiH and that we will protect them,” said Kovac, adding that Croatia will not interfere in the internal political processes in BiH.
Croatia wants BiH to be a stable democratic country that will economically develop and go to the European Union, added Kovac.
Bozo Petrov also stated that it is completely unacceptable that nothing is being done when it comes to the punishment of those responsible for the incidents in Stolac.
According to him, it creates pressure in which the bullies want to be marked as victims.
“We came to give the support of Croatia in order for Stolac not to become precedent. We want international norms to be respected, the international institutions get engaged, that the constitutional order of BiH is respected and elections in Stolac to be held as guaranteed by the rule of law,” said Petrov.
Mayor Boskovic said that he informed the Croatian delegation about the events in Stolac during the past elections, emphasizing that all elections were regular so far in Stolac and that he expects democratic elections this year as well.
