As part of a three-day visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the President of the Republic of Croatia, Zoran Milanovic, arrived in Mostar on Monday, where he met with the Rector of the University of Mostar, Zoran Tomic and the Vice-Rectors of that University.
After the meeting, Milanovic will give a lecture at the University, and then meet with Mostar Mayor Mario Kordic.
Before arriving in Mostar, as part of his visit to BiH, Milanovic visited Vitez, where he visited the “Osmica” memorial, where he paid tribute to eight children who died 28 years ago in a grenade explosion fired from the position of the RBiH Army.
After laying a rose at the memorial, Milanovic spoke briefly with family members of the children, who thanked him for the visit, noting that he was the first senior Croatian official to visit the site of the deaths of eight children.
Today, the President of the Republic of Croatia will also meet with the Mayor of Ljubuski in that city, and then he will hold a meeting and a working dinner with representatives of the Croatian National Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Konoba Vodopad, Veljaci).
