‘Our Party’ Representative in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sabina Ćudić, addressed a gathering of some of the most influential Republican congressmen at the head of leading foreign policy and security committees in the US Congress today, the Press Service of Our Party announced.
The meeting was hosted by Congressmen Pete Sessions and Robert Aderholt, and was also attended by Congressmen Keith Self, John Moolenar, Pat Fallon and other invited politicians, diplomats and experts.
Ćudić spoke about the common security interests of the United States and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as common interests in areas such as the energy sector, Russian influence in BiH and the region, and the importance of US sanctions against those who block Euro-Atlantic integration.
“Republican leaders expressed a special interest in Russian influence in Bosnia and Herzegovina after I offered them data on the ways in which parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina are under the direct influence of Vladimir Putin, and presented them with data on the dates and nature of Milorad Dodik’s trips to Moscow, as well as the active blocking of Euro-Atlantic integration by individuals and groups in BiH, to the detriment of all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We will work with congressmen to harmonize positions on measures against this type of influence, which will soon be considered by the US Congress,” said Ćudić, Fena writes.
