Custody Motion for Nine organized Crime Suspects in BiH

The Acting Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after questioning the suspects in the case codenamed “Ira”, submitted to the Court of BiH a motion to order detention for a total of nine people suspected of organized crime related to international drug trafficking, arms smuggling and and other criminal offenses.

Among the persons for whom custody has been proposed, there is also a suspected holder of judicial office, according to the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.

Activities in the case were carried out in several cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and are aimed at prosecuting persons suspected of organized crime and serious crime, which are related to organized criminal groups in the countries of the region.

The investigation into the case is continuing intensively, the statement said.
