Cvijanovic condemned the Exit of the BiH Delegation from the Hall during Netanyahu’s Address at the UN

Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović condemned the move of the Bosnia and Herzegovina delegation to leave the United Nations General Assembly hall during today’s speech by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“Who authorized the Permanent Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the UN to have its delegation leave the UN General Assembly hall during the speech of the Israeli Prime Minister,” Cvijanović asked in a post on the US-based social network X.

She described it as “a unilateral move by a renegade mission, headed by Zlatko Lagumdžija, who represents only Bosniaks, and not the entire BiH.”

“This act reflects disrespect for both the Constitution and laws of one’s own country, as well as for officials from another country,” she said.

She also wrote that Ambassador Lagumdžija has not represented Republika Srpska for a long time because, as she stated, he has not acted according to the instructions of the Presidency of BiH, which is solely responsible for conducting foreign affairs.

The delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, like numerous other delegations, left the UN General Assembly hall during the speech of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, for whom an arrest warrant was issued by the International Court of Justice in The Hague. In this way, BiH joined the ranks of countries that have clearly raised their voices against the Israeli genocide in Gaza.
